About us

Our founding member Chic started visiting refugee camps in 2018, feeling called to spread joy and laughter to children left with no hope from the effects of war, he and others toured camps performing magic tricks and music, thus allowing the children a brief escape from their harsh daily reality.

Later Roz, a UK nurse joined and, being on a trip to Beirut, was taken aback by the lack of medical provision that we in the UK take for granted. Time spent with a local medical NGO brought the need for improving support for both medical and mental wellbeing into sharp relief.

A return to the UK, and the sharing of experiences with fellow clinicians, led to the vision of Magic Medics and its formation. Together, we hope these small acts can have a big impact.

Our team of medical professionals aim to share their clinical knowledge and experience to help improve access to basic medical care where it is woefully lacking.

Teach one man to save a life and provide him the resources and skills to teach 100.

While our magician brings joy and laughter to the faces of refugee children, traumatised by war and homelessness, he provides one small but essential step to helping their mental health.

Thanks to the kind donations of many UK-based medical companies as well as individuals we are able to distribute medical equipment to help save lives of the most in need.

We will offer UK based medical staff and students the opportunity to volunteer with us to help educate those in need, weather this is short trips or elective placements. We will also offer internships for school leavers in our administration and support areas.
